The Internal Audit Office conducts audits to ensure policies, procedures and processes for conducting business are conform to laws and applicable regulations; that best business practices are being utilized to provide the best healthcare to our patients; the prevention of fraud, waste or mismanagement of government resources.
Staff members ensure internal control evaluations and risk assessments are routinely conducted. Internal controls are reviewed during audits.
Internal Audit is the liaison between CRDAMC and any external audit agency reviewing process or program and follows up on any findings and recommendations made as a result of their review.
Internal Audit collects data documenting accuracy and timeliness of completing medical encounters. Areas that are not meeting the criteria of DoD standards are evaluated and recommendations are made for meeting those standards.
