Traumatic Service member's Group Life Insurance: Helps severely injured Soldiers through their time of need with a one-time payment.

IDES Brief

Mandatory for service members who have been referred for IDES processing. Provides an overview of the process to include information on ACAP, AW2, Soldier's MEB Counsel, and the Veterans Center.

Pre-Separation Brief

2 hour briefing that can either be done at the Main ACAP Center in a classroom setting or can be completed online by going to the ACAP Websiteoffsite link in new window

DTAP Brief:

For service members who may be separated or retired from active duty because of a disability or who believe they have a disability that qualifies them for the VA's Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program.

  • Location: Classroom B110, Copeland Soldier Service Center, Bldg. 18010
  • POC: ACAP at 288-2227 (Main Center) or SFAC at 288-9766
  • Hours: 9am-11am
  • Every 2nd & 4th Monday

Survivor's Benefit Program (SBP) Brief (mandatory by law for all retiring Soldiers & their spouses)

Assists service members and their families prepare for retirement and a smooth transition to the civilian sector. Provides knowledge and information to ensure service members and families are aware that retirement services and SBP programs are accessible, effective, and responsive to the needs of soldiers and their families.

Non-WTB soldiers

  • Every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month (930am-11am)

WTB

  • Location: Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC)
  • Every 3rd Tuesday of each month (930am-11am)

Montgomery & Post 9/11 GI Bill Brief

Provides information and resources to help soldiers understand the differences between the 2 bills and options available to you as a service member.

  • Every 3rd Wednesday of each month (1pm)

3 day TAP Workshop

Conducted by Department of Labor (DoL) sponsored TAP facilitators. Provides knowledge, information and skills you need to achieve post-transition occupational and educational goals.

Transition/Orientation/VA Benefits Briefing

Cover all aspects of VA sponsored benefits & services. Information provided includes eligibility criteria, timeframes, and assistance submitting applications.
