Services offered:

The Nutrition Clinic offers both classes and one-on-one consultations. Class topics includes diabetes, gestational diabetes, prenatal nutrition and heart healthy eating. We also teach an Active Duty Weight Control class for active duty service members interested in learning about weight loss and weight maintenance that meets the nutrition education requirements of AR 600-9.
One-on-one consultations last between 30 and 60 minutes and cover a variety of topics. Frequent reasons for visits include but are not limited to: follow-up after a class, athletic performance, vegetarianism, childhood failure to thrive, weight management, food allergies or intolerances, cancer, heart disease and more.
How to obtain services:
For an appointment with a dietitian, you may either be referred by a provider or self-refer. To schedule an appointment, call the Patient Appointment System, 254-288-8888 or the Nutrition Clinic front desk, 254-288-8860. You may also visit our clinic in the basement of the hospital next to the Shoppette, to schedule an appointment in person.
I have been enrolled in the Active Duty Weight Control Program. What do I need to do to?
You may call the Patient Appointing System at 254-288-8888 or the Nutrition Clinic front desk at 254-288-8860 to schedule an appointment to attend Army Move!, an hour long class. At the end of class, we will provide a signed memo that meets the requirements of AR 600-9.
What can I do if I have several Soldiers that need to attend the Active Duty Weight Control class?
Please write a memo with containing the full names, date of birth, and social security numbers of your Soldiers along with your phone number and fax it to 254-288-8879. You will receive a call to schedule classes accommodating as many of your Soldiers as possible.
How can I learn about weight loss?
If you are an active duty Soldier, please call our clinic at 254-288-8860 to schedule an appointment for the Army Move!, the Active Duty Weight Control class. You do not have to be enrolled in the weight control program to attend the class. If you are a civilian, please call our clinic at 254-288-8860 to schedule a one-on-one appointment.
How can I schedule a nutrition class for my unit or department?
To have a dietitian present a class to your unit or organization, please call the front desk at 254-288-8860 at least 1 to 2 months prior to your planned event date.
What types of classes does the nutrition clinic offer for my unit or department?
Dietitians are able to teach classes on a variety of topics of your choice. These include but are not limited to basic nutrition, sports nutrition, weight management, and supplements. Classes may be held in our classroom in the basement of CRDAMC or on-site at your workplace.
