The Provost Marshal Office is responsible for the safety and physical security of Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. Guards are authorized and specially trained to enforce the law in a medical environment, patrol the CRDAMC campus, and can be dispatched immediately to assist in any emergency. Guards are specially trained in law enforcement in the medical environment and provide a liaison to military and civil law enforcement officers.
The Provost Marshal's Office develops, coordinates, implements, and oversees physical security policies and procedures for mission assurance pertaining to antiterrorism, critical infrastructure protection, MEDCEN preparedness, and electronic security.
The CRDAMC Physical Security Office conducts physical security assistance surveys and inspections, oversees the Medical Center's electronic Security Systems and provides physical security and antiterrorism planning.
