Welcome to the Department of Radiology. As part of the continuing tradition of medical excellence at Darnall Army Medical Center, we take pride in offering a full range of diagnostic imaging. These services are available to our patients by referral from their ordering physicians. The Department of Radiology performs and interprets more than 100,000 studies per year. The Department serves as a training site for radiology technology students. Our services feature the latest in imaging technology.
The Diagnostic Radiology Service is divided into several sections, each directed by a radiologist specializing in that particular area. In addition to Diagnostic Radiology, these sections include Mammography, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography (CT), MRI, Pediatric Radiology, Gastrointestinal Radiology/Fluoroscopy, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Bone Densitometry Andurology.

How can I get hard copies of films or studies on a CD?
All requests for images to be placed on a CD will be handled by Release of Information. The turnaround time is 5 business days. Films can be requested to take to outside providers or to other Medical Facilities. Films going to another Military Medical Treatment facility are transferred by computer to those medical facilities via the PAC system.

X-ray: No appointment needed. These exams are performed on a walk-in basis.
