Active Duty Pregnancy

Pregnant active-duty females who are acutely ill have priority in the Obstetrical Clinic at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. OB sick call sign-in is 7:30 – 8:30 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and from 9 – 10 a.m. on Thursday. Please get a Sick Slip (DD Form 689) from your unit and your OB record from the Women's Health Clinic before going to sick call. Call the OB Clinic Triage Nurse if you miss the sign-in time and still need to be seen for health problems.
After duty hours/weekends: Go to Darnall Medical Center's Emergency Department if you are less than 20 weeks pregnant, or go to Labor & Delivery on the second floor of Darnall Medical Center if you are over 20 weeks pregnant. Please call Labor & Delivery before arriving, 288-8400.
Active Duty Sick Call
Sign In: Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed, use Weekend Acute Care.
Training Holidays: Sick Call Available. The clinic is open for acute appointments. Active Duty patients can call 553-3146 to schedule an appointment.
All Emergency Cases: Please go to the emergency department!
Immunizations

Immunizations are provided at well child and routine visits.
Active duty service members obtain immunizations at the Soldier Medical Readiness Center.
Walk-in Flu Vaccines are available:
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Flu immunization is also offered with each appointment.

Laboratory

Basic laboratory services are available at Russell Collier Health Clinic, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Special tests are done at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center's laboratory. Hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgical procedures are available at Russell Collier Health Clinic. Check with your Primary Care Manager for more information. Minor surgical procedures are done by appointment and examples include treatment for abscesses, skin biopsies, wart removal, and colposcopy.
Pharmacy

The pharmacy is located in the lobby of Russell Collier Health Clinic. It has a complete inventory of medications listed on the Darnall Medical Center formulary. A current military identification card is required to fill all prescriptions for individuals 10 years and older. Reservists must present a copy of their orders. Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Medication refills are only available at the Refill Pharmacy.
Physicals for Active Duty Personnel

Walk-in during duty hours to pick-up the information sheet and schedule the physical. To schedule a periodic health assessment (PHA) call (254) 553-3146. To schedule a flight physical call (254) 553-3005. All other physicals, including the medical board physical, must be scheduled by the Soldier Medical Readiness Center (254) 285-6232.
Radiology

Russell Collier Health Clinic offers basic radiology services Monday – Friday from 7 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Special tests are done at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center's Radiology department. Radiology hours are Monday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Tuesday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wednesday 7:30 a.m. - 4:20 p.m., Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Referrals
Referrals are electronically transmitted to the Tricare Service Center. Health Care Finders call or notify patients by mail of scheduled referral appointments. Patients are referred to Darnall Army Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center, and other local health care providers for specialty care.
School and Sports Physicals

Patients assigned to Russell L. Collier Health Clinic may schedule an appointment by calling (254) 553-3147. Please bring all necessary school forms with the medical records and shot records.
Well Baby and Child Exams

Pediatric care for children from birth until 18 years of age is available from your Primary Care Manager. Children can receive a comprehensive examination and immunizations during well child visits. Bring medical records and all shot records to the appointment. Call (254) 288-8888 for an appointment.
Women's Health

Primary Care Managers at the Russell Collier Health Clinic have routine appointments for pap smears, mammograms, gynecological problems, and contraceptive counseling. Call Patient Appointments, 288-8888. All pregnant women (active duty and family members) are cared for at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
Women who intend to become pregnant should take prenatal vitamins before becoming pregnant. Prenatal vitamins are available at the reception desk of any Family Care Clinic or Troop Medical Clinic. Pregnancy tests are done on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday, from 8 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m.
