Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center's Cancer Program fully approved by the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer, a cancer program that meets national standards that assures our administration, staff, and personnel are interested, dedicated, and competent.

Our Cancer Registry data management system provides accurate and complete cancer information for our patients. We collect data and organize and analyze it according to the diagnosis of the patients. Cancer Registry information is confidential and follows our patients throughout their lifetime.

Liver Cancer

Lifetime follow-up is beneficial for cancer patients, ensuring that the patient has the best continuity of medical care and data is available to medical staff that enables to see the results of their diagnostic and therapeutic efforts. Medical data is also available for educational purposes such as modification of treatments and implementation of newly discovered treatments.

Our staff of professional and highly trained doctors and nurses plan every step of your cancer treatment, and allows us to provide you with the most current treatment for your condition.

If you continue your medical care at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, this data may be obtained from your medical records or physicians. Otherwise, we will send you a yearly letter and questionnaire to remind you about your checkups. If you move, it is helpful to us if you would send us a change-of-address card.

We Do More Than Just Talk About Cancer. We act. The philosophy behind patient services of the American Cancer Society is to assist cancer patients with resources, information and guidance. As a result, the American Cancer Society supplies cancer patients with hospital beds and other medical equipment they otherwise couldn't afford. We also publish information about cancer awareness, education and prevention. And when we can't directly provide a service for cancer patients, we offer guidance through referrals to organizations that can.

In 2005, our patient services helped more than 46,000 Texans – at no charge to the patient. We're here to help you. And if we can't help you, we'll help find someone who can. So give us a call, and let's talk.
