Longitudinal Experiences:

Continuity Clinics PGY-1: 1-2 half days per week
PGY-2: 1-3 half days per week
PGY-3: 1-4 half days per week
Behavioral Medicine 2 hours per block
FM Morning Report Conference 30 minutes per weekday
FM After Clinic Conference 30 minutes 4 days per week
FM CME Conference 4 hours per week
Continuity Nursing Home 4 hours per month
Journal Club 1 hour per month
Practice Management 1 hour per month and Transition to Practice month
Military Unique Curriculum 1 hour per month and Transition to Practice month
Simulation Experiences
  • 1 hour per week on Family Medicine Inpatient rotations
  • 4 hours every other month
Quality Improvement/Patient Safety Curriculum
  • Rsident-attended QI/PS committee meetings throughout PGY-2 and PGY-3 years
  • periodic didactics during CME
  • monthly Morbidity and Mortality Conference
  • QI projects
Scholarly Activity Curriculum
  • Dedicated research time during PGY-2 FM Advanced Camp and PGY-3 Research blocks
  • Peroidic didactics during CME
  • Scholarly activity projects

Residents receive certification in ACLS, ATLS, ALSO, PALS, NRP, and STABLE.
