CRNA Training

Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center Phase II (Clinical) Anesthesia Program is one of seven Phase II sites at which students receive their clinical training. Students spend 18 months learning the science and art of nursing anesthesia as well as developing and completing a research project.

Darnall’s pharmacy formulary is a list of our most commonly dispensed medications. The formulary changes frequently, so others may be available. We rely heavily on generic equivalents of most medications so we can stock as many medications as possible.

Graduate Medical Education

Graduate Medical Education programs offered by Darnall include the Family Medicine Residency Program, the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, CRNA Training, Physician Assistant Training and other residencies and fellowships.

Physician Assistant Training

Fort Hood is host to twelve Physician Assistant Phase 2 students that work and staff Darnall Army Medical Center and outlying Troop Medical Clinics. Fort Hood has been a training site for Physician Assistant students for many years since the creation of the PA profession in the early 1970’s.
