Active Duty Pregnancy

Pregnant active-duty females who are acutely ill have priority in the Obstetrical Clinic at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. OB sick call sign-in is 7:30 – 8:30 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and from 9 – 10 a.m. on Thursday. Please get a Sick Slip (DD Form 689) from your unit and your OB record from the Women's Health Clinic before going to sick call. Call the OB Clinic Triage Nurse if you miss the sign-in time and still need to be seen for health problems.

After duty hours/weekends: Go to Darnall Medical Center's Emergency Department if you are less than 20 weeks pregnant, or go to Labor & Delivery on the second floor of Darnall Medical Center if you are over 20 weeks pregnant. Please call Labor & Delivery before arriving, Click Here To Call Us.

Sign In: Monday – Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.

Closed 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

1st and 3rd Thursday of the month
7:15 am – 12:00 pm for appointments.
13:00 – 16:30 for walk in Triage.

Immunizations

Immunizations are provided at well child and routine visits.

Walk–in hours: 0800 a.m. – 1100 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday Patient must have a physical within a year before receiving shot. Please bring the most current shot record

Active duty service members obtain immunizations at the Soldier Medical Readiness Center.

Special tests and longer hours of operation are available at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center's laboratory.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgical procedures are available at Russell Collier Health Clinic. Check with your Primary Care Manager for more information. Minor surgical procedures are done by appointment and examples include treatment for abscesses, skin biopsies, wart removal, toe nail removal, and Implanon.

Pharmacy

The pharmacy is located in the lobby of Russell Collier Health Clinic. An inventory of medications listed on the Darnall Medical Center formulary. A current military identification card is required to fill all prescriptions for individuals 10 years and older. Reservists must present a copy of their orders. Pharmacy hours are:

Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Federal holidays: Closed
Training holidays: Closed
Medication refills are only available at the Refill Pharmacy.

Self-care Meds are available. Patients may receive four per month. Patient must have a self-care card that can be obtained on CRDAMC Website.

FLIGHT PHYSICAL: Part 1 for flights (Class 1-4, HALO, SERE, Diver, Airborne & Ranger) physicals are done on a walk in basis M/W/F from 0800 to 1000. Part 2 will be scheduled in person when Part 1 is complete and packet is returned to the clinic. Soldiers not stationed at Ft. Hood may call the flight office to discuss special arrangements for appointments Clich Here to Call us. Airborne and Ranger physical do not require a flight surgeon, Part 2 must be scheduled with the Primary Care Provider at the soldiers assigned clinic.

Referrals

Health Care Finders call or notify patients by mail of scheduled referral appointments. Patients are referred to Darnall Army Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center, and other local health care providers for specialty care.

School and Sports Physicals

Children that are coming for 12 month and 4 year old well-baby appointments cannot be scheduled prior to their actual birth date.

Well Baby and Child Exams

Pediatric care for children from birth until 18 years of age is available from your Primary Care Manager. Children can receive a comprehensive examination and immunizations during well child visits. Children that are coming for 12 month and 4 year old well-baby appointments can not be scheduled prior to their actual birth date. Well-baby visits are recommended for: 2 month, 4 month, 6 month, 9month, 12 month, 15 month,18 month and annually after.

Women's Health

Primary Care Managers at the Russell Collier Health Clinic have routine appointments for pap smears, mammograms, gynecological problems, and contraceptive counseling. Women who intend to become pregnant should take prenatal vitamins before becoming pregnant. Prenatal vitamins are available at the reception desk of any Family Care Clinic or Troop Medical Clinic. Pregnancy tests are done on a walk-in basis Monday - Friday: 7:30a.m – 3:45 p.m.

Behavioral Health

IBHC
As an extension of PCM to provide brief assessment and intervention for PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, tobacco cessation, and insomnia.
Provide referral for specialty services IBHC and BHCF works as a team in providing quality behavioral health services in the Department of Defense.

BHCF
Act as guide and facilitator to the patient’s adherence to the PCM’s prescribed treatment plan/prescribed med for depression, PTSD, and/or anxiety as well as coordinator of communication & information of patient’s treatment plan adherence & progress toward remission.
