Services

The Band of Angels (BOA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was originally established at Fort Hood to raise funds and provide volunteers for programs and activities for Fisher House occupants.
When the Fisher House was initially built, the BOA used to organize weekly meals for Fisher House residents. Over the years, as the need for meals diminished, the BOA has purchased miscellaneous items needed for the Fisher House (linens, outdoor furniture, holiday decorations, etc.) More recently the BOA has used the funds it has raised to assist Darnall Army Medical Center and Fort Hood soldiers and their families, in financial need, who have incurred miscellaneous expenses related to their medical treatment.
Donations:
The Band of Angels sponsors the "Terrace of Fame" fundraiser that allows the organization to build for its future and to improve the outdoor facilities of the Fisher House. A commemorative brick terrace has been constructed outside the back door of the Fisher House near the gazebo. For a $40 donation to the Fort Hood Band of Angels, donors will be able to choose the inscription on a paving brick. This is an excellent opportunity to commemorate a loved one or dedicate a brick for a special occasion while supporting a valuable volunteer organization. Become part of the Fisher House legacy today!
